The year is quickly coming to an end, so we thought there was no better time to interview the CEO of LNE Consulting, Julie Edmonds, to hear what she had to say about 2018!
Check out this awesome interview and be sure to watch the video at the end!
Do you have any favorite holiday traditions?
Yes! I take my kids back to Louisiana every year, where I grew up. My family actually has a 100-year old tradition of doing a whiskey walk on Christmas day. All of our extended family comes — it’s about 75 people. We start at 9:30 in the morning and have appetizers and drinks at the first house. Then they blow the whistle and we go to the next house. We end up going to 15 or 20 houses by 2:00 in the afternoon! It’s a ton of fun and amazing bonding time with the family.
LNE Consulting also has a holiday party every year where we rent out a restaurant and get the whole team together for a really nice night. We always do a big raffle. Last year we gave away a drone, an Echo Dot, hot sauce, bottles of wine, and a lot of other fun things.
What do you love most about the holidays?
Definitely the quality time with everyone back home. We play on hay bales, ride on tractors, and feed the horses. We go to dinner. We sit around the fireplace and just laugh and talk and play cards. We cook together. It’s really nice and something I look forward to every year.
What are some of your best memories from this year?
Top Gun was awesome. I always love spending time with our organization’s top performers and seeing who’s really making things happen in our business. I was so impressed by the entrepreneurs who spoke at the event this year — they’re just amazing people and really on their games.
The seminar we went to in LA this past October was also a real highlight for me. It was my birthday during the trip and I got to celebrate with so many great friends and colleagues.
What did LNE Consulting accomplish this year that you feel most proud of?
I’m really happy about how much we’ve grown in 2018. We are close to hitting 30 offices, which is something we’ve been pushing for. There are several people on the team who have made major strides this year who I’m really proud of. Not only have they helped grow our business tremendously, but they’ve each experienced a ton of personal growth.
What have you learned this year?
I’ve learned that energy means everything. You have to be able to keep charging forward. You need to have the focus and persistence to make things happen. I’ve also been very introspective this year and have focused on my relationships with my kids. It’s not always easy balancing everything, but I think that if you hire great people and delegate properly, the support system really helps.
What’s to come in 2019?
I’m excited about really stepping it up for our clients and providing opportunity to our people. I think we’ll have at least two executive-level promotions this year. I also think that we’ll hit 40 offices by 2020. I’m also looking forward to moving into a new office space in Hollywood. I think it will be a nice change for the team.
Finally, what message do you have for the team?
Thank you. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, loyalty… thank you for everything.
